Florent M. LOCATELLI is French but shares his time between France, Italy and Russia. He is a dive industry professional (MBA) with the most complete cursus ever (distribution, manufacturing, marketing, development …) as well as a dive education professional with the highest qualifications (Recreational and Technical diving).
Florent worked for Mares, Beuchat, the Aqualung group and is now back to Mares where he created from scratch the entireMares|XRline of technical diving products which he is now managing and promoting.
Diving since 35 years and Instructor since 25 years, he became Course Director and Instructor Trainer 15 years ago PADI, TDI and SSI) with all the following ratings: Full Cave,eCCR, AdvTrimix, DPV,Sidemount, etc… One of the precursors of technical diving in France, he created in 2000 one of the firsttek schools in France: Aquatiks.
He discovered and was the first to dive, during the last 20 years, some of the most famous and renowned deep wrecks of the French coast: Protéesubmarine, Natal,Guyane/Niedersachsen,Bananier, Sally of New York, Stella, Phoebus, MaréchalCanrobert… He is the author of many articles on the subject in many international magazines, newspapers and websites.

Deep Wrecks in the Mediterranean |
In the beginning of the years 2000, Florent M. LOCATELLI and his dive team Triade, discovered more than 25 wrecks below the 60m depth zone in the South Coast of France (Mediterranean Sea). Wrecks including: the Protée submarine (130m) off La Ciotat, the shipwreck of Natal (120m) off Toulon, the Guyane/Niedersachsen (110m) off Toulon, the Bananier off La Ciotat, the Sally of New York, the Stella, the Phoebus… and afterward, 8 years ago, with another Team Florent discovered Pythéas and the Maréchal Canrobert (120m) off the port of Marseille. |
