WDT is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2011. The main purpose was to organise a technical diving convention in Belgium . We have done this 5 times now and we are already very busy to get the sixth edition – Tekdive 2021 – on track .

WDT also organises the “Wreck & Tek Events” and has published three very well received diving books :
- Duiken naar Goud en Kunstschatten (Diving for Gold and Treasures)
- Duiken naar Oorlogswrakken (Diving on War Wrecks)
- Duiken naar het Onbekende (Diving into the Unknown)
The first one was recently translated in English and published as ‘Diving for Treasures’ by Whittles Publishing from Scotland.
WDT also frequently organises and participates in diving expeditions to unique diving locations.Articles about these endeavours are published in diving magazines all over the world. The WDT members are also available for lectures about diving locations that they explored over the years like caves, ship wrecks, abandoned mines etc …

In 1993 Vic discovered the East India trader “ The Roompot” in the North sea. A homeward bound vessel that sank in 1853 . The artifact collection of this historical shipwreck is now in the city museum in Zierikzee ( Netherlands ).
Vic is the author of 4 diving books as well as many articles in international diving magazines. He is the founder of the non- profit- organisation “wreck dive team” that is involved in diving expeditions around the world.
Over the last 12 years he focused on photographing and filming wrecks beyond recreational depth. Vic was also a speaker on international diving events. His diving career goes for 45 years and is still going on. Last year he was the first Belgian diver in the Viroit cave in Albania.
In the meantime, Karl is passionately active in wreck diving, cave diving and mine diving. He does several trips every year and regularly organizes short diving trips himself.
Because of the many dives with Vic you can find Karl on a lot of pictures in the different reports that can be found in the international dive magazines, in online articles, on social media and in the 4 books of Vic.
Karl has been an active Tekdive employee since the first edition, and in recent years as a co-organizer.
