Dimitri Galon born in Istanbul, Turkey, lived in Athens, Greece, until 1984 when he moved to Germany where he currently resides. At the Universities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg, he studied historic and comparative musicology, informatics, philosophy, byzantinology, and ethnology. He has worked in the Ethnographic Museum and the City University of Hamburg and has been an editor of the international publishing house Sikorski since 1994. Dimitri is also involved with various maritime history projects in the Eastern Mediterranean region. He searches, dives, examines and documents the historical wrecks of this area for almost two decades. Dimitri is a GUE educated diver (Tec 2+ and JJ-CCR) and has several articles published in numerous magazines.
